How It Works

Starting out

You launch on the $99/month plan. Your facility processes $80,000 in bookings over the year. K2's platform fee is 4.5% = $3,600. You pass the 4.5% through to customers at checkout. Your effective cost for the platform is $99 × 12 = $1,188/year.

Crossing a volume threshold

Your facility crosses $150,000 in annual volume mid-year. Your platform fee rate automatically drops to 3.5% for new bookings from that point. You don't need to do anything — the rate adjusts in real time.

If your volume drops

A slow winter season brings you below a threshold. Your rate won't jump up immediately — you have a 90-day grace period at your current tier before it adjusts. This protects you from seasonal volatility.

Large & enterprise facilities

Facilities processing $5M+ get a 2.0% platform fee. At $20M+ it drops to 1.75%. For very large operations or multi-location groups, contact us — we offer custom rate agreements.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Every account gets full access to the entire K2 platform — no feature tiers, no upsell modules. You pay $99/month (or $999/year) plus the platform fee on transactions. That's it.
The platform fee is a percentage of gross booking revenue collected through K2. It starts at 4.5% and automatically drops in tiers as your annual volume grows — down to 1.75% at high volume. It's designed to align our incentives with yours: we earn more when you earn more.
Yes. You can configure K2 to add the platform fee as a line item at checkout, so customers pay it directly. Many facilities do this, effectively making the platform free to operate.
Stripe charges 2.9% + $0.30 per online transaction — this is the standard card-processing rate. Like the platform fee, you can choose to pass this to customers or absorb it. Cash and POS transactions don't incur Stripe fees.
The free tier has no monthly fee — you only pay a 5% platform fee on transactions. It's designed for facilities that are just starting out or testing the platform before committing. There's no time limit; you can stay on the free tier as long as you like.
Volume tiers are calculated on a rolling 12-month basis. Your tier updates dynamically as your trailing 12-month volume changes. There is a 90-day grace period if you drop below a threshold, so you won't be penalised for seasonal slowdowns.
The core platform is all-inclusive. Add-ons (Tournament Manager, League Manager, SMS/Email Campaigns) are optional paid modules for facilities with specialised needs. You can see current add-on pricing in the table above.
You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly; monthly plans are cancelled at end of billing cycle. There's no cancellation fee.
Yes. Our team can assist with migrating member records, booking history, and payment data from most platforms. Contact us to discuss your specific situation — migrations are handled case by case.

Yes. Payments are processed via Stripe, which is PCI DSS Level 1 certified. K2 never stores raw card data. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
No. K2 is built for facility operators, not IT teams. Everything is cloud-hosted and managed by us. Your staff only needs to learn the web interface — there's nothing to install or maintain.
